How it happened....

Its 6.00am and a nice foggy morning! I' am up and looking out of the window as the fog settles down in horizon wondering "now what?" A normal person would definitely go out for a nice walk or would again go to bed and try to sleep :) Things have settled down in my life too and so I just thought of writing down few things that has changed my life in past couple of months.... Yes I' am getting married!!! Everyone asks me "Don't you think that its bit early?" and I say yes... I believe that this is the biggest achievement of my life. Well now you will definitely laugh...biggest achievement of life???? haahaa...and ill again say YES!!! :)
It was 27th Dec 2007 (I' am bad at remembering dates but i do remember this date as it comes as joining date on my pay slip every month :P ) when i met my colleagues and Yamini too.. for first couple of months I dint know that there is some girl in our batch named Yamini. Most of our batch mates are related to each other through common colleges or coaching classes. This made us stick together and spend time together in office and outside too..and thats when i got introduced to Yamini....there is nothing in common between both of us except that we both love to eat and I think this made us come closer.

Time passed by and we got involved in one another so much that the day we dint meet we used to feel that the day was incomplete. One fine evening when we were hanging out at her place, her phone rang...it was her Mom. I think this was the turning point of both of our lives. Her Mom had asked to her to see a boy who lives in Pune and has settled down in US. She just gave a blank look at me and I knew that even she dint want this to happen. We both being of different castes we knew that some or the other day we had to apart. I know my parents very well and I was 100% confident that they wont mind if I marry a girl from other caste and so I asked Yamini to give a try from her end. That day she again called up her Mom and asked her about me.....as expected her Mom got furious and told her to forget me. We both knew that if we want to make this happen then we have to prepare ourselves for the good as well as for the bad. To be very frank, i was not at all prepared for the later part....

Yamini being a girl had to go through lot of things from her side and from my side, my parents had no idea what was going to come. It was high time now and her Mom didn't show any signs which could turn things our way...so i decided to call her mom and requested her to meet my parents...She then decided to come down to Pune and I was happy and thought that now things will change...but she wanted to convince Yamini and explain her what she was doing was not right. Being a mother I think she was correct on her part because its not just the child who has to face problems with the relatives but its always the parents too. Her Mom was going to visit her on Saturday, so we decided to bunk the office on Friday and spend time together as we never knew if we could see each other after that "Saturday"....Friday was our day and we had a great time together hoping that we could see more such Fridays together...that was the day when i told my parents about Yam...I took Yam to my place on friday evening and told my parents that i want to marry this girl....They were shocked!!!! for first 5mins no one spoke and i just prayed that everything goes well and it did they were ok with it and decided to talk to her parents.....Saturday arrived and her Mom too with her aunt..It was a sunny afternoon that day and i was driving when i got a call from Yamini saying "Its all over"...I was shattered...still thought of giving a last try and i directly went to her place and tried convincing her Mom....i begged in front of her and requested her to meet my parents once...her Mom said that she will talk to her Dad and if he says no to this then its a NO.....i had lost all hopes now coz her dad is a very stubborn man and a man of principles....i gave up right there and started walking.......i still had a small hope of pulling this out somehow....just imagine Ishant Sharma batting and Shoaib Akhtar bowling between an India-Pakistan final match of a world cup and India need 6 runs to win in 1 ball and 1 wicket in hand...i was caught in the same situation...I had to hit a six...i don't no how but Yam hit this six for me....She convinced her Dad and he agreed to visit my parents....thats it...BINGO!!!!!

Days passed by and her parents visited my place...we just thought that now let the elders do the talking we had played our part and it was their turn now.....My mom was very excited and was really looking forward for this...eventually everything was decided and finally the marriage date was fixed!!!

"A Friend in need is a friend in deed" this saying became true when piyu, chinmayee and mayuresh stood by both of us all these days.....if these people wouldn't have been there then i don't think this blog would have ever be written... :)

and finally just to finish i think this dialog fits in perfect for the above situation... :)

"Itni shidaat se main tumhe paane ki koshish ki hai,
hi har zaare ne mujhe tumse milane ki saazish ki hai.

Kehte hain ki ...... Agar kisi cheez ko dil se chaaho to puri kayanat usey tumse milane mein lag jaati hai.

Aur aaj, is baat ka bhi yakeen ho gaya, ki humari filmon ki tarah humari zindagi mein bhi end mein sab theek ho jaata hai.
Happys Endings. Aur agar, aur agar theek na ho to woh the end nahin hai dosto, picture abhi baaki hai.....mere dost!!!" :)
